German reinsurer Hannover Re SE reported an average increase of 4.1% in pricing along with 8.3% premium growth at the January reinsurance renewals, with strongest growth in its natural catastrophe risks portfolio, Artemis reported. Geographically, the reinsurer saw strongest rate increases in Europe, which naturally comes after the high nat cat losses reported by the region in 2021.
