Judge allows compensation dispute against Gallagher to proceed

A federal court ruled the Osceola County, Florida, school district’s lawsuit accusing Gallagher Benefit Services of receiving excessive compensation from insurers it recommended to the district can proceed, report Florida Politics. In the lawsuit filed last year, the district accused Gallagher of breaking an agreement that its commissions be capped at $195,650 and that it received more than $2 million in “secret commissions from insurance carriers it recommended to the board.” Gallaghers motion to dismiss the case was denied.
