2021 Diversity & Inclusion Institute
The Business Insurance Diversity & Inclusion Institute is the largest forum to advance diversity and inclusion within
the insurance, health & benefits industry. We equip leaders with actionable solutions, develop best practices and promote organizations that are driving change. Member companies actively participate and benefit from the resources provided by the Institute.
Business Insurance works with member companies to establish a Research Committee that creates relevant and topical research projects related to diversity and inclusion topics.
D&I experts present to D&I leaders within member companies discussing best practices, emerging issues & resources.
Topic examples: Mid-Management Hiring; D&I Best Practices; Recruiting; Local Engagement; Education and Training; Supplier Diversity; Strategic Partnerships; D&I Plan Development; International Growth, Insights from other
Business Insurance can organize webinars / webcasts to teach the benefits and tactics for advancing diversity and inclusion. Topics include: Recruiting for Insurance Careers, Now What Do I Do?, and Everyday Inclusion Habits for All Employees, and others. Platinum Members will be entitled to host one annual webinar. BI will work together with the member to contact prospective speakers and to develop theme and content.
The Business Insurance website provides access to D&I archived research, webinars, virtual presentations and other content covering the topic of diversity, serving active community of insurance industry D&I professionals. You will receive sponsorship recognition alongside the D&I survey video presented by Andy Toh; the D&I Calendar, listing all important D&I Events; links to BI articles and timely outside articles pertinent to D&I; information about the Alonzo Herndon award; and on-demand access to the annual BI D&I Conference.

D&I Platimum Membership Opportunities
Serve on the D&I Institute Advisory Committee to collaborate and advise on programs aimed at helping the commercial insurance industry achieve greater diversity and inclusion throughout. The Committee shares best practices, progress reports and other findings and recommendations to help direct the Institute’s initiatives.
A dinner hosted by Business Insurance on the eve of the D&I Institute Leadership Conference exclusively for Platinum Level sponsors. Business Insurance will arrange for a high-level speaker and/or content session to make for an exceptional evening.
Access to D&I channel within Business Insurance website which includes access to archived research, webinars, virtual presentations and other content. Opportunities to highlight each sponsor/partner and its D&I initiatives with connections to social feeds.
Participate in the D&I Institute Research Committee which will work to develop research projects on relevant and timely topics related to D&I. Access to research project results.
Free to Platinum Members who are also entitled to all updates to the playbook and are encouraged to suggest input for this living document.

These roundtables will include 4-5 companies and will focus on various diversity-related topics including Mid-Management Hiring; D&I Best Practices; Recruiting; Local Engagement; Education and Training; Supplier Diversity; Strategic Partnerships; D&I Plan Development; International Growth, Insights from other Industries and more. All roundtables will be a forum for attendees to network and learn from each other and from guest speakers.
Each Platinum Member will be eligible for a D&I Custom SnapShot Research Survey with 5 multiple choice and 1 open-ended question designed to provide your company specific insight into your needs within the D&I industry.
