U.K.-based insurance broker BMS Group Ltd.’s reinsurance arm BMS Re has acquired Mexico-based surety reinsurance broker Calomex Intermediario de Reaseguro, SA de CV for an undisclosed amount, Reinsurance News reported. Calomex will retain its brand and infrastructure, while working closely with a team at BMS subsidiary PWS Mexico Intermediario De Reaseguro SA de CV, which will shortly be renamed as BMS Re Mexico, subject to regulatory approval.
