Chile-based copper producer Codelco has halted its Rajo Inca project construction to investigate a recent fatal accident involving a contractor, U.S.News reported citing Reuters. A truck driven by the contractor, who was working in the pre-stripping process, slid 40 meters down a slope and killed the operator who was outside of the control cabin. The stoppage was ordered after regulators detected faults including problems with parking yards and access controls.
