ATLANTA—Charles H. Ogburn has been named nonexecutive chairman of Crawford & Co., the Atlanta-based third-party claims management company said Monday.

Mr. Ogburn, whose appointment was effective Jan. 1, is a member of the Crawford board and executive director of Arcapita Inc., an Atlanta-based international investment firm.

Mr. Ogburn succeeds former Chairman Thomas W. Crawford, who retired Dec. 31 as previously announced.
