Glass-making companies and businesses that use glass in their products are concerned of a possible glass shortage, as Russia reduces natural gas supplies to Europe, worsening the energy crisis in the region, The Wall Street Journal reported. Any further reduction or stoppage of Russian gas would force European governments to ration gas, leaving the energy-intensive glass industry at risk of shutting down the production which would severely disrupt supply chains.
