A fire erupted at the world’s largest nickel plant in Monchegorsk, Russia, on Sept. 14, The Barents Observer reported citing Khibiny. The facility is owned by Russian mining conglomerate MMC Norilsk Nickel PJSC's subsidiary Kola Mining and Metallurgical Co. The inferno’s impact on the production has yet to be assessed.
