U.K.-based Howden Re and U.S.-based reinsurance brokerage TigerRisk Partners LLC have agreed to merge their operations to create Howden Tiger SabRE, Reinsurance News reported. The merger will become effective after the expected completion of Howden Re parent Howden Group Holdings Ltd.’s acquisition of TigerRisk in the first quarter of 2023, making Howden Tiger SabRE the largest managing general agent in the world with a combined gross written premium of $6 billion.
