The International Underwriting Association of London and the U.K.’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have created a new insurance clause that could accelerate the removal of unsafe cladding from the buildings, Construction News reported. The clause sets out risk management processes for the construction industry and can be adopted by professional indemnity insurance providers for projects under the U.K. government’s £4.5 billion ($5.2 billion) Building Safety Fund.
