Gallagher Re said that underwriting results of reinsurers and insurers around the world were “exceptionally strong” in the first half of the year, with their average combined ratio coming at 94.1%, Reinsurance News reported. Insurers and reinsurers also posted 12% growth in premium, with global reinsurers recording the highest increases.
