Moldova’s National Financial Market Commission said the local insurance market grew 35% year-on-year to 1.2 billion Moldovan lei ($62 million) in the first half of the year, driven by nonlife insurance business, Xprimm reported. Moldovan insurers’ pre-tax profit jumped 57.5% to approximately MDL161 million.
