The Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters said the non-oil export sector has suffered an estimated $85 million in aggregate loss, as of June 28, from the nationwide protest that began in mid-June, Produce Bluebook reported citing Ecuador Times. The protestors, seeking a reduction in fuel prices amid other demands, have continued to block roads, causing transport disruptions in the Los Rios, Cotopaxi, and Guayas provinces.
