South Africa-based insurer Old Mutual Ltd.’s operating profit increased 87% year-on-year to approximately 4 billion South African rand ($243 million) in the first half of the year, as the impacts of COVID-19 ebbed and operations improved, News24 reported. The insurer’s gross written premiums increased 9% to almost ZAR11 billion.
