Old Mutual Insure agrees to acquire South African nonlife insurer

South African insurer Old Mutual Insure Ltd., a subsidiary of Old Mutual Ltd., has agreed to acquire Gauteng, South Africa-based nonlife insurer Genric Insurance Company Ltd., Verdict reported. The transaction will enable Old Mutual to expand into new markets with innovative and low-cost niche insurance products.
