Overall premiums dip slightly but nonlife insurance sector sees growth

Data from the Polish Chamber of Insurance said that local insurers’ aggregate gross written premium dropped by 0.5% year-on-year to almost €7.6 billion ($7.4 billion) in the first half of the year, mostly due to the more than 8% decline in life insurance premiums, Xprimm reported. Meanwhile, nonlife insurance premiums increased by more than 3% to €5.3 billion.
