Season’s first hurricane to hit Mexico

The U.S. National Hurricane Center said that Hurricane Agatha is expected to hit Mexico’s southern Pacific coast on May 30, threatening tourist towns in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, KMBC News reported citing the Associated Press. This is the season’s first named hurricane. A hurricane warning was issued in the port of Salina Cruz and the Lagunas de Chacahua, as the hurricane is likely to cause flash floods and mudslides.
