South Africa mine dam wall collapse damages homes

Flooding caused by a mine dam wall collapse on Sept. 11 in Jagersfontein in South Africa's Free State province swept away houses and cars, and killed one person and injuring another 40, Deccan Herald reported citing Reuters. The disaster, which forced officials to evacuate residents to nearby farms, also damaged cellphone towers and hit communications.
