Carmakers Toyota Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. suspended production at their factories in Kyushu, Japan, on Sept. 5 and 6 as they braced for the season’s strongest typhoon, Automotive Logistics reported. Super typhoon Hinnamnor, which was equivalent to a category-five tropical cyclone, also forced the grounding of around 70 flights in Japan.
