Year’s third hurricane likely to cause floods, mudslides in Mexico

Tropical storm Bonnie was upgraded to a Category 1 hurricane on July 3 as it neared the southwest coast of Mexico, raising threats of intense rains, mudslides, and floods in Mexico, Reuters reported. The U.S. National Hurricane Center said that it is going to be the third hurricane to affect Mexico this year and has high chances of becoming a Category 2 hurricane.
